Following the reveal of four out of the five DLC characters coming to Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition, we now know more details about their designs and how they'll fight in their current incarnations

The PlayStation Blog and Capcom Unity revealed additional information for Dan Hibiki, Rose, Oro and Akira Kazama as they'll appear in SF5 including some of their new moves and features.

Beginning with Dan, they actually released an extended look at his gameplay footage featuring a number of his most iconic moves brought into SF5 along with some new toys as well.

Hibiki even has a new move called the Danretsuken according to the PS Blog which is the multi-punch attack seen in the footage that originates from his Ultra Street Fighter 4 Omega Mode moves along with an improved version of his classic roll taunt. They also tease the taunt may be tied to either his V-Trigger or V-Skill.

Rose isn't gone into nearly as much as Dan, but the developers do tease that she was originally designed to have a strong anti-projectile and anti-air game. They also make mention of her famous Soul Satellite Ultra from the SF4 days which may be returning in some similar fashion when she releases next year.

The official press release for Rose states her tarot cards will make an appearance which will arm her "with a variety of unique special moves and plans to channel all of her Soul Power energy" into her new playable version.

Oro's appeared in the SF5 character stories for years at this point, and now he finally makes his playable return. The PS Blog reveals that instead of fighting with one hand behind his back like Street Fighter 3, he'll actually fight while balancing the turtle shown in his illustration.

"We are currently developing Akira so that we utilize Rival School’s originality as well as incorporating new ways to play. We can’t wait to share more on how Akira’s playstyle will evolve for Street Fighter 5!"

Rival Schools finally receives its first representative in Street Fighter with Akira Kazama though the people working on updating her for her first appearance in almost 20 years only have a little to say about her now:

"We are currently developing Akira so that we utilize Rival School’s originality as well as incorporating new ways to play," says Capcom in the PS Blog posts. "We can’t wait to share more on how Akira’s playstyle will evolve for Street Fighter 5!"

There's still one more character to announce for Season 5 though we may need to wait a year to see who they are and how they'll fight, as the blog states Capcom will "reveal more information when we are closer to that character’s release in Fall 2021."

Capcom revealed there will be over 30 new costumes coming to SF5 with these updates along with character stages for Rose and Akira arriving with their releases. There will also be Capcom Pro Tour stages launching later this Winter and then in Fall 2021.

A new balance patch including a brand new battle mechanic will be added to Champion Edition at the end of 2020 as an additional free update to bring even more gameplay enhancements and depth to the game's combat system according to Capcom.

The roadmap for aquiring all of these new additions will take well over a year, however, as Dan will release first this winter followed by Rose in Spring 2021, Oro and Akira in the Summer and finally the last character next Fall.
