Harada says that today's Tekken 7 update was only 25-30% of what was planned

Declaration of emergency has suspended work for the tuning and debugging teams

Earlier today, Tekken 7's version 3.31 update was released. Leroy was once again one of the biggest losers as he received a variety of nerfs in order to tone him down.

In total, 33 new balance adjustments have been made with version 3.31. According to Katsuhiro Harada, today's patch only makes up about 25-30% of what was actually planned.

"We were planning more tuning updates for the Tekken World Tour 2020," said Harada. "However, due to the declaration of emergency, the tuning and debugging department & affiliated companies were suspended from work. Therefore, the current update is about 25-30%. Give us a little more time."

Once more, the COVID-19 pandemic appears to be impeding the progress of game development. Similarly, Masahiro Sakurai stated that he's now working on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's DLC from home due to current events.

Assuming Harada's claim isn't just an exaggeration, then this means that there are still about 60-100 changes that were intended to come with this update.

More than likely, we can expect an even larger set of adjustments in the next patch. As stated by Harada, we just need to give the Tekken 7 developers more time to get everything situated.
