Brook's new Nintendo Switch dock looks an awful lot like a Gamecube, and is perfect for Super Smash Bros. players

Coming this June

I'll admit it, the first thing out of my mouth when I saw Brook Gaming's upcoming dock for the Nintendo Switch was "that looks like a Gamecube!"

I suspect that's exactly the reaction the third party company is hoping for as the dock, officially called the "Power-Bay," appears to be aimed at capturing the attention of old Super Smash Bros. Melee players in particular.

The Switch accessory does indeed look like a Gamecube and features two ports on its face that support traditional Gamecube controllers, which many Smash players still insist on using when going into battle.

In addition to the two Gamecube controllers, the Power Bay also supports two Bluetooth headsets, an HDMI output so you can connect to larger screens, two Switch controllers, and boasts low latency. The main product page even goes as far as to include a line about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate support in their "features" section.

If you're not able to connect to a larger screen via the aforementioned HDMI port, the Power Bay can be propped up so players can game directly from their Switch while it's docked. This means you can also charge while you play.

You'll be able to get your hands on this special Switch dock come this June for $54.99. Check out some of the images below:
