The Granblue Fantasy Versus version 1.21 patch has been confirmed to land with the release of Soriz and Djeeta tomorrow, Tuesday the 7th of April, and will contain the previously promised balance changes as well.

Several new quests and weapons have been added to RPG mode relating to Soriz and Djeeta as well. As for the balance changes, you can find them further below, as translated by myself, Nicholas "MajinTenshinhan" Taylor from the version 1.21 patch notes posted on the official Granblue Fantasy Versus homepage.

Charlotta

Shining Onslaught (Technical Input)
• Adjusted so that it will no longer come out when the end of the input is neutral or downwards.

• Enlarged the hitbox.

• Increased the size of the initial hitbox.

Aetherial Seal
• When an arrow hits a butterfly, the cooldown will no longer restart but instead freeze in place temporarily. The cooldown will restart from where it stopped instead of from the beginning once the hitbox of the butterfly's explosion disappears.

Battalions of Fear
• Adjusted so that it will no longer come out when the end of the input is neutral or downwards.

Bloody Moon
• Startup is now faster.
• Is no longer in a counter-hittable state after the move.

Aftermath
• Will now start the cinematic portion of the move even if it's the followup hits that land as long as Vaseraga is still close enough for a cinematic hit to normally occur.

Beelzebub

Ability Icon
• Langelaan Field now has the appropriate Ability Icon to show that it is indeed an invincible move.

If you're concerned about not enough changes, fret not. It was promised that the patch coming later in April, which will likely be when Zooey releases, will be a more general overhaul of the game's balance focusing on three key points, those three points being:

• The frame advantages on close normals across the cast.
• The startup hitboxes on projectiles across the cast.
• Rectifying the problem that people keep accidentally getting down down input special moves when they didn't mean to.
