COVID quarantining has made getting to the gym an impossibility for most everyone over the last few weeks, and the inclination to sit around and snack at home has more than likely started to affect more than a few of our waistlines.

For those of us who've been meaning to start working out from home but haven't actually started doing so, perhaps a creative approach that incorporates video game peripherals is the push we need. If you feel you fall into that category, Mr. Angel Bagz of Untechable Performance has just the thing you're looking for.

The New York-based fitness enthusiast has been posting fun ways for fellow fighting gamers to get off their butts and do a little cardio and lifting exercises from within the confines of their own homes.

He recently posted a video in which he shows us how to use an arcade stick to burn off a few extra calories while performing thruster, jumping jack, and high knee workouts.

The average stick weighs somewhere in the ballpark of 5-8 pounds, a load that suddenly becomes much more noticeable when you're on your third set of thrusters. The addition of a stick not only adds some extra resistance but can also help with psychomotor skills as you'll be forced to up your balance and coordination a bit.
