Kazooie stares at the blast zone with a look of absolute terror when Banjo gets launched in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

'Juh-oh...'

There's plenty to love and appreciate when it comes to the unlikely bear and bird duo that is Banjo Kazooie, but one of my favorite parts of playing through their first two games on Nintendo 64 was seeing Kazooie's often sassy and sometimes brutally honest personality poke through.

Banjo's relatively carefree nature was wonderfully juxtaposed with Kazooie's more pessimistic and hot-headed reactions, and it seems a hint of that has been sprinkled into their Super Smash Bros. Ultimate appearance.

With a keen eye, Superfunkiboi64 noticed that Kazooie has a particular expression on her face when the duo is launched backward toward the blast zone: that of utter horror.

Given than almost all characters in Smash are singular entities, we usually see looks that of Banjo's in this instance: that of one who has just had the wind knocked out of them. Despite her being a bird, Kazooie is left to helplessly stare into the fast-approaching abyss (or whatever the blast zone actually is) as death speeds toward her.

As if the mere inclusion of Banjo Kazooie weren't enough, it's clear that Masahiro Sakurai and his development team have not tired beyond the point of attending to the seemingly smallest details to make the Smash Ultimate experience that much more enjoyable.
