Version 1.11 of Samurai Shodown provided a number of changes to the cast such as nerfs to Genjuro and buffs to Shiki. As one can probably imagine, the meta is shifting in interesting ways as a result of this.

Jmcrofts recently released a tier list that depicts his thoughts about each character in the roster. Comparing this to his first tier list for Samurai Shodown, we can see that a number of combatants were heavily affected by the adjustments.

It seems that Genjuro and Tam Tam are no longer at the very top. That honor now belongs to Charlotte. Outside of one of her kick attacks, Charlotte really didn't lose much in the last patch.

Shiki went from being a bottom two character in Jmcrofts' eyes to a top three candidate. That's quite an impressive jump up. Needless to say, Shiki received a plentiful number of buffs.

Unfortunately for the newest character, Rimururu, she might not yet be worth the download at this moment. Rimururu finds herself in the bottom two location along with Wu-Ruixiang.

Having said all that, Jmcrofts indicates that he believes that Samurai Shodown is in a good place as a result of the patch. He specifically states that things feel "extremely well-balanced right now."
