The return of the Home Run Contest brought the long time specialist Teitoku out of retirement to knock the Sandbag over 8,000 in distance

I thought when I reached 600km I had done something

Sakurai announced the Home Run Contest was returning with the update. Many fans were ecstatic to see the mode come back.

We know traditionally Yoshi is used in the contest to achieve super long distances. This time the world gets to see a Peach and Roy duo and solo Daisy achieve distances that don't seem real.

What's the longest you've ever hit Sandbag during the Home Run Contest? I bet you haven't gotten it THIS far.

Teitoku is somewhat a legend when it comes to this unique mode within the game. He's set most of the records for distance achieved across multiple Smash titles past. He has returned to collect another championship in Ultimate.

You will see his Daisy apply massive damage by her lonesome with the aid of a turnip, leading to a distance of 1,221.647 km. How he perfectly spaces the combos so he lands the bat hit at the end is beyond me.

In the two-man contest he again uses Daisy, but with Roy. One must feel bad for Sandbag at this point, being pummeled so badly. A record distance of 8,443.523 km is reached.
