It's already possible to knock Sandbag out-of-bounds in the wrong direction during Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Home Run Contest

Sandbag was never heard from again...

The Home Run Contest mode of the Super Smash Bros. series has finally been added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Notably, Sakurai declared this as being "pretty much" the last game mode that's being put into the game.

Any Smash veteran can probably tell you the objective of this mode. After putting on as much damage as possible on the Sandbag within a 10 second time limit, you want to send Sandbag as far away as possible to get the high score.

It appears that someone has figured out a way to break this mode in a very interesting way.

If you're actually gunning for the top score for this mode, you want to send the Sandbag flying to the right. Having said that, it's possible to strike the Sandbag in the opposite direction, though there is little purpose in doing so.

It appears that the best way to pull this off requires the user to play as Ganondorf. You'll want to hit Sandbag two uncharged up smashes, followed by a jab.

After this, you have to double jump above Sandbag and throw the bat upwards so that it hits it once it lands. Maneuver Ganondorf barely off the screen, then have him perform the Warlock Punch (neutral special) while facing towards Sandbag.

Done correctly, this will send Sandbag at exactly the right angle and distance to trigger the glitch. Sandbag will inevitably be lost to the void.
