Banjo-Kazooie is now available to be played in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This also means that patch 5.0.0 has been released.

Patch notes can be found on the Nintendo website.

This is definitely one of the less impactful balance patches. Although a small selection of fighters received buffs, it's unlikely that there will be major shifts in the tier lists.

An annoying issue was finally resolved, however. "Previously, if you were in the air and held the shield button and input left, right, or down, and then continued to hold the shield button until you landed, you would dodge in the direction input upon landing. Now, you will only dodge after landing if you input the direction after landing."

A number of new Spirits and Mii Costumes have also been put into the game. Mii costumes for Team Rocket, Proto Man, Zero, Goemon, and Sans (from Undertale) are now available for purchased. Remember that Sans comes with the Megalovania theme.

Finally, the Home Run Contest is now a playable mode. This mode supports up to four players.

— Adjusted the time until you can move again after grab parrying to be consistent.
