Back at EVO 2019 early last month, Bandai Namco unveiled two new DLC character slated to join the Tekken 7 roster. Returning Tekken 6 contender Zafina and brand new combatant Leroy Smith were revealed as the first two characters of the game's third season.

Fans were particularly excited about these two fighters, and the newcomer saw a large amount of praise from fans on social media, becoming an immediate hit. The character was/is so popular, in fact, that musician T-Pain recently cosplayed as Leroy Smith at Dragon Con 2019 — and he looked absolutely amazing.

Yesterday, the popular recording artist put out a photo of his getup on Instagram. With it came a side-by-side comparison of Smith's in-game render, which as you can quickly see looks incredibly close to the source material.

T-Pain's killer cosplay quickly spread across social media, with a span reaching as far as Tekken Chief Producer Katsuhiro Harada.

When it comes to video gaming, T-Pain is definitely no stranger. The singer/songwriter has spoken frequently about his gaming habits in interviews over the years, and he actively streams on Twitch — his channel now has over 126,000 subscribers.

At Dragon Con, fellow famous face professional wrestler Xavier Woods — who is also an avid gamer — caught up with T-Pain and snapped a quick photo of his awesome cosplay.

Leroy Smith has already made waves with fans despite not having seen an actual release in Tekken 7 yet.

The Season 3 season pass is expected to go on sale this month, which will include four new fighters, a new feature, and a new stage. Leroy and Zafina appear to be launching between September and Winter 2019. The next two characters and the new feature are expected between Winter 2019 and Spring 2020. Finally, once Spring rolls around, fans can expect the new stage.

Season 3 is also bringing free updates that include new moves, an updated UI, expanded practice functionality, and more.
