Banjo-Kazooie's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate release date might be right around the corner if a Japanese 7-Eleven ad is to be believed

We saw the same for Hero and he was released during the time frame noted

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans are anxiously awaiting information on the game's next DLC character, Banjo-Kazooie. We're chomping at the bit to finally get our hands on the bear and bird combo, and their release date might actually be closer than we expected.

A new advertisement in 7-Eleven stores over in Japan has a big potential clue as to when we might be seeing Banjo-Kazooie officially launched. If this ad is to be believed, Banjo-Kazooie should go live sometime before September 15.

PushDustIn on Twitter shared a couple of photos of an ad that is popping up in 7-Eleven stores overseas that gives details on recently released and upcoming Nintendo titles. One section prominently displays Banjo-Kazooie, as the duo is next in line to be released, and while it doesn't say a release date outright there is a major clue here that might be very telling.

According to PushDustIn, the ad is only scheduled to be displayed in stores until September 15. This means that Nintendo only expects to advertise for things like Banjo until that date, which leads many to believe that the character will be released by that time.

On the surface, that doesn't seem like a big deal. Perhaps Nintendo just wants to move on to advertising other things by September 15, right? Well, one thing that heavily points to the validity of this theory is the fact that we've seen it happen once before.

Back in July, a similar Super Smash Bros. Ultimate ad for Dragon Quest's Hero popped up in Japanese 7-Eleven stores. PushDustIn pointed this one out as well on July 24, reporting that the ad was scheduled to be taken down on August 4. Hero officially launched on July 30.

This week is already shaping up to be a big one for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fans as we come right off the heels of Nintendo accidentally leaking the company that the fourth DLC character hails from.

As it stands right now, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has seen the addition of Persona's Joker and Dragon Quest's Hero as part of their five planned DLC characters. Banjo-Kazooie are next (and possibly sooner than we thought), and the final two have yet to have their identities revealed.

Smash Bros. Ultimate's DLC is expected to release all the way through early 2020, so it might be a little while before we learn who makes up the full line up.
