We're less than 24 hours away from the spookiest day of the year, and as folks everywhere prepare their ghoulish makeup, lay out their Stranger Things and Fortnite costumes, and ready their candy bags for the big night, we continue to indulge in all of the Halloween content that we can.

We've looked at fighting game Halloween costumes you can purchase in real life, the scariest Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 11, and even some eerie created stages in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Today we're checking out some fan art from Remy2FANG that combines two awesome things together just in time for the holiday: Street Fighter 5 and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

"Street Fighter & Nightmare Before Christmas," the artist wrote on Twitter. "F.A.N.G is Jack Skellington and Vega is Sally."

The long, lanky fighter who made his debut in Street Fighter 5 is a strong choice to play the Pumpkin King. This artwork sees F.A.N.G decked out in Jack's trademark black and white striped suit, complete with a pale complexion and poison dripping from his fingertips.

Sally being portrayed by Street Fighter 2 sub-boss Vega is interesting. It's a bit harder to see a connection there, but the artist did incorporate a burning rose that mirrors the small burning Christmas tree Sally holds in the film.

Street Fighter 5 is no stranger to Halloween costumes, nor does it shy away from crossovers.

Since the game's launch back in 2016, Capcom has released a Halloween-themed DLC costume set every season. This year, fans were able to transform two of the newest combatants, Poison and E. Honda, into an undead zombie and a kappa, respectively.

The game's Extra Battle mode also frequently sees crossover costume campaigns being run, albeit for other Capcom IPs. There exist many alternate outfits that change Street Fighter 5's playable characters into others from different Capcom games.

Though a Street Fighter X Nightmare Before Christmas crossover isn't something that would probably ever happen, it's always fun to imagine what other franchises might meld well with the legendary fighting series. We did the same in our recent "fantasy Street Fighter 5 costumes for Halloween" story, in fact!

Other than the obvious choice of making Abigail into Oogie Boogie (I may be a little bit biased there), which Nightmare Before Christmas character costumes would you want to see in Street Fighter 5?
