New Dragon Ball Super Broly screenshots give us a better look at what Dragon Ball FighterZ's next DLC character can do

Dragon Ball FighterZ is set to see the addition of its next DLC character, Broly from Dragon Ball Super: Broly, soon. As we draw nearer to his launch, which we expect to be sometime this month, Bandai Namco continues to give fans glimpses at the new fighter in action.

While we haven't seen his gameplay trailer just yet, the company's French branch has released a handful of clear screenshots of Super Broly doing his thing.

Though this version of Broly differs from his Dragon Ball Z counterpart — who is already a playable character in the game — reports claim that Super Broly has a similar play-style. As a towering powerhouse, this Broly will look to snatch foes up with long-reaching throws and will use powerful, single strikes to take down those who stand before him.

In the new screenshots, we see three different stages of Super Broly: non-Super Saiyan with armor, non-Super Saiyan shirtless, and Super Saiyan.

From what we've learned about the character so far, it appears as though the armored regular form will be how Broly starts each match. Using his level three super will see the Saiyan go Super, which will cause his armor to shatter.

Broly will continue the fight without his armor and is said to remain in a powered-up state for the remainder of the match.

This same super also involves a large beam of energy being fired from Broly's mouth, which can be seen in the screenshots as well. It looks as though Bandai Namco aimed to provide fans with a glimpse at the evolution of Super Broly throughout the course of a fight.

Last week, the V-Jump magazine scans for Broly hit the internet. On top of some of the information we detailed here, the scans also provided Broly's in-game stats, which see him excel in Power, Reach, and Energy, all at the expense of poor Speed.

Super Broly is the last DLC character in line for Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 2. Jiren, Videl, Kid Goku (Dragon Ball GT), Janemba, and Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta all preceded Broly and are available in-game now.

We're anticipating Super Broly's release in Dragon Ball FighterZ this month based on past experience — though October has not specifically been cited by an official party.

While we wait, be sure to check out the screenshots below, and if you haven't picked up Dragon Ball FighterZ yet, you can do so on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
