Riot Games finally showed us a bit of early development footage and a placeholder name (Project L) for their upcoming fighting game entry. Given the size, reach, and status of the League of Legends company, the implications for the FGC could be huge once this new title drops and starts making waves.

While we're very excited for the future and what may potentially come, we also have to acknowledge that Riot is owned by Tencent, a Chinese company. Considering the friction that China, Hong Kong, and the US are experiencing at the moment, it is worth discussing what all to take into account while processing all this new information.

It wouldn't be an EventHubs Podcast episode without Street Fighter 5, and so we turn our attention to Yoshinori Ono's recent statements from Brazil Game Show where he mentioned both "characters and content" coming to the game in the next two months.

Which characters are the biggest front runners and how much of an overall impact will they have? From new costumes to major overhauls similar to the Arcade Edition update, what kind of content is he talking about?

Given that Sony and Microsoft have both announced their next-generation consoles will drop in late 2020, what can we surmise about SF5's remaining lifespan and what it might take to keep it running?

We discuss all of this plus some loft promises from Google about Stadia and online play as well as Team Ninja's expertise at playing both sides of the morality field and getting away with their charisma intact.
