Infinite challenge for Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition demonstrates insane damage when characters have endless resources
Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition is known for its... robbery aspects. The amount of offensive pressure and damage that can be mounted means that you're never truly safe until the opponent's life bar is fully depleted, no matter how much of an advantage you think you might have in any given round.
What if there was a way to take things even further? This is exactly what the Street Fighter 5 Infinite Challenge, on Twitter, is attempting to look at.
As the title of the challenge suggests, players perform unique combos while the Critical Art and V-Trigger gauges are set to an infinite amount. In other words, the following sequences are exclusively meant for the training mode and have no practical purposes in real matches.
Do keep in mind that combos in Street Fighter 5 will actually stop working after 99 hits. In other words, some characters may not be able to achieve 100% damage due to this limitation.
Some players have managed to create some rather unique clips with the challenge in mind. For example, someone using G started his combo with G's idle animation — which burns away 500 health right off the bat.
Another submitter for the challenge decided to mix things up by performing a true block infinite with M. Bison before chipping the dummy out with a Critical Art.
