CYG|Daigo is known for being the Ryu God if you will. He is nearly synonymous with the fighter and has used him throughout all Street Fighter titles.

It seems in every iteration of Street Fighter he has given Ryu at least a chance. So out of all the versions that he's played, which Ryu is his favorite?

Daigo is often praised for his patience and deliberate style of play in the Street Fighter Series. But his favorite Ryu is one he deemed the most aggressive: Street Fighter: Alpha Three.

One of the things Daigo enjoyed was the diverse moveset Ryu had. Moves like Senpukyaku were exclusive to that game, and never returned in later Street Fighter games.

"In that game it was better to be aggressive than to stay passive," Daigo recalled. He also spoke on how he doesn't like games that he needs to wait.

According to Daigo, "Taking the initiative means being 'offensive'." It's clear that's the version of Ryu and Street Fighter game that allowed him to use that play style.
