Mortal Kombat 11 is currently the best-selling new video game of 2019 in the United States, so why not celebrate a bit and let everyone dip their feet into the fighter for a bloody good time.

NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. announced today Mortal Kombat 11 will be free to download and play this weekend from October 11–14 including the majority of the base game plus the ability to test drive the DLC fighters — yes that means the recently released Terminator as well

Starting on Friday, players will be able to play Versus and online modes with the entire base roster of MK11 plus the first two chapters of story mode, The Krypt, Fatality Training and Towers of Time.

In Towers of Time mode specifically, everyone will also be able to get a more limited test run of the game's DLC characters from the Kombat Pack 1 including Shang Tsung, Nightwolf and the Terminator T-800. They cannot be used in other modes, however.

This trial will only apply to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players where they will need an active PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership to access the online modes though the offline content will be available to everyone.

The ending of the free trial trailer for Mortal Kombat 11, which you can check out below, also advertises a 40 percent discount for the game that should bring it down to around $36 USD.
