Arnold Schwarzenegger recounts how he fought James Cameron about saying his most iconic Terminator line; hear all his MK11 intro one-liners here

'I'll be back' is more iconic than 'hasta la vista, baby', right?

Smart writing and that one-of-a-kind, charismatic delivery from Arnold Schwarzenegger turned the first two Terminator films into seemingly bottomless founts of one-liners, and we're pretty sure NetherRealm Studios packed every single one into the character's guest appearance in Mortal Kombat 11.

Seeing as Terminator officially releases to Kombat Pack holders today, we figured we'd celebrate with a Terminator one-liner themed article. We've nabbed a video from Maximilian that shows off all of the newcomer's fight intro dialogue scenes as well as a story Schwarzenegger shared with Howard Stern about almost not saying his most iconic line perhaps of all time.

Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon shared a snippet from the interview on his Twitter Monday, and it was too good a story for us not to share with you.

As intuitive and successful as Arnold has proven to be, he's not always right. During the filming of the original Terminator movie, he actually felt that a machine wouldn't use grammatical contractions, (like Data in Star Trek TNG) and therefore would say "I will be back," as opposed to "I'll be back."

You might think such a small nuance wouldn't really matter either way, but you're not bar-raising director James Cameron. We won't go any further into what happened next, but you can hear the whole thing from Arnold via the clip below.

After that, see how many clever film references Boon and his team packed into the character's intro dialogue scenes. Share your favorites in the comments once you're done.
