Street Fighter 5 announcement coming at Brazil Game Show, but unless you're really into eSports there probably isn't much to be excited about

The Street Fighter 5 community can look to Brazil this weekend for news as Capcom's Yoshinori Ono has teased fans on social media today with a quick video message from his trusty Blanka doll.

This information was shared over the official Street Fighter Twitter along with the following caption that we've translated from Portuguese, "Here comes another great announcement about Street Fighter 5! October 10th, at 3:30 pm, on the BGS eSports Stage. Watch also through our social networks! # BGS2019."

The clip features Ono playing the role of puppeteer for Blanka. We've translated the Portuguese subtitles and garnered the following: Hi guys, remember the Street Fighter 5 ad on Tokyo Game Show? It was pretty cool, and I will have more news to find at BGS!

Some follow up text then says, "Here comes the biggest announcement about Street Fighter 5." Ono's words seem to be pointing to news regarding the Intel World Open as the new major eSports venture from Capcom was first announced during the early portion of this year's Tokyo Game Show.

We received an update on the event on Friday, October 4 when the United States was revealed to be the first of 12 international teams to partake in the event, and suspect that we'll be learning about another team or two come October 13.

Those who are hoping for information more along the lines of DLC characters and potential game updates still may have a reason to tune it, as we're very much nearing the two months Capcom has specifically highlighted for info drops.

With big announcements on the horizon, as well as Ono's recent ramp up in frequency of Street Fighter-related, mentions on social media, we wouldn't be at all surprised if he offered a hint or two about November's news during his time on stage at BGS.
