Bandai Namco has been telling us that the latest incarnation of Broly would be releasing for Dragon Ball FighterZ in the "coming days" for well over a month now, but it seems we finally may know when to expect the stranded Saiyan to drop.

The latest version of the Weekly Jump magazine in Japan reportedly reveals that Broly (DBS) will release as part of the Character Pack 14 on December 5, 2019 according to Ryokutya2089.

There's few other details included with the Japanese blog post aside from confirming what we already knew in that Broly and Gogeta would have a special Dramatic Finish together based off of the final battle of Dragon Ball Super: Broly film — also co-starring Cheelai.

This new, canon version of Broly shares quite a few similarities to his original counterpart, like their stature and a propensity to slam Goku through a wall, but his is mostly a completely new fighter in terms of both his personality and attacks.

Broly's release also marks the end of Season 2 content coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ joining Videl, Jiren, Kid Goku (GT), Janemba and Gogeta, so we'll likely need to wait until the World Tour Finals to learn if Bandai Namco and Arc System Works will release a third season of DLC or if the berserk Saiyan will mark the end of substantial new content for the fighting game.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently on sale along with both of its season passes for pretty much all systems for Black Friday 2019. If you want to go back and watch Broly's awesome gameplay trailer, you can do so here.
