Sindel's intro dialogue with D'Vorah discusses Mileena's fate in Mortal Kombat 11

A hint or just a nod to the fans?

Mortal Kombat X's story mode had fans witnessing the death of Mileena to the hands of D'Vorah. Obviously this doesn't necessarily mean that we'll never see the character again as we'll be gaining access to Sindel in Mortal Kombat 11 as a DLC fighter on December 3. Recall that Sindel also met her end near the end of Mortal Kombat 9.

The Twitter account for Mortal Kombat has recently teased another intro dialogue of Sindel's. This time, she has a few words for D'Vorah.

"You betrayed Mileena, D'Vorah," begun Sindel. It's certainly interesting how Sindel was able to acquire this information in the first place.

"Why care for that disgusting clone?" questioned D'Vorah. Ironically, she refers to Mileena as "disgusting" as she inserts some sort of giant larva or insect into her stomach.

"She was as much my daughter as Kitana," responded Sindel. Of course, Sindel spent barely any time with Mileena in Mortal Kombat 9. Funnily enough, Sindel declared to Kitana that she was no longer her mother as she attempted to — and basically succeeded in doing — kill her.

In a way, it's actually kind of bold to make a reference to Mileena as we know that this particular character is not part of the Kombat Pack. Despite this, many Mileena fans have been somewhat vocal about the fighter's absence.

Is it too much of a stretch to think that this could be a hint for a future beyond the "first" Kombat Pack?
