Mortal Kombat 11's fourth DLC character, Sindel, is due out on November 26, but the community is anxiously awaiting an official character reveal trailer some time here in these last two weeks of waiting.

Up to his usual teasing ways, MK11 Director, Ed Boon, has been slipping glimpses of the Edenian queen's latest design on Twitter. Today he offered our first look at the character as a non-revenant.

Mortal Kombat X's story saw many franchise favorites converted into zombified husks of their former selves, enslaved by the evil Quan Chi via his sorcery powers. Sindel was one of these, and thus we've really only seen her with this grayed, undead look for the last few years.

Early glimpses have all been in this style, and this has led some fans to be a bit worried that we wouldn't be seeing Sindel in a more standard, human form in Mortal Kombat 11.

Such fears were already fairly unfounded simply because NetherRealm Studios developers have showcased a handful of other characters (Jade, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kitana) with both revenant and standard human visuals. We widely suspected the same for Sindel, but it's nice to finally have visual confirmation.

We've rounded up the stills we've got thus far, starting with the one Boon posted today which sees Kitana's mother not as a gray hus, but instead with a more traditional look. She also is in the midst of using some sort of attack that summons a spectral being behind her, which we assume is what Boon is referencing with his "Ghost in the Machine" text that he included with the post.

This phrase is likely a nod to British philosopher Gilbert Ryle's description of René Descartes' mind-body dualism. It's fairly clear how this lines up with Sindel as a character as she's been in a constant push and pull between the MK universe's armies of good and evil, often being brainwashed to work for the baddies.

We suspect that trailer should be coming out any day now, and you can bet you'll find it here on EventHubs as soon as we get our hands on it.
