Street Fighter beach party, multiple Menats, Pop Art Cammy, 8686Cure's fighting game art has a ton of personality

We've stumbled upon some beautiful fighting game art from a talented illustrator by the name of 8686Cure, and figured the FG fans here on EventHubs would appreciate it just as much.

Cure's work is clearly inspired by the Pop Art movement of the 1950s, and that shows through in the comic book style and filtered views that echo some of the trademark approaches from the movement.

With the exception of E. Honda and Ed, all of Cure's subjects are female in today's gallery. We get to visit some of the ladies of Street Fighter on the beach, and also see a pair of Menats meeting in front of an unnamed city.

Many of the images feature just single subjects striking poses, often with intriguing expressions. I was particularly captivated by the triple Menat piece as the blend of mostly cooler colors is easy on the eyes and the subtle yet powerful expressions on their faces found me taking a few extra moments to analyze.

I also really enjoy the latest Street Fighter 5 DLC trio piece as the rich coloring and plentiful detail also give you plenty reason to hang out for more than just a passing glance.

Check out the gallery below and let us know what you thought of Cure's art in the comments after. Did you have any favorites? If so, which and why?
