During Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate live stream this morning, director Masahiro Sakurai announced the next fighter Terry Bogard will be available to play today, November 6, 2019.

As expected, the Fatal Fury star is jam-packed full of details and mechanics brand new to the Smash series including a brand new back special, super specials and so much more.

Like Ryu and Ken, Terry always faces the opponent in Ultimate allowing him to perform specials the standard way or with traditional fighting game inputs including: neutral Power Wave which has weak and and strong versions which applies to all specials, forward Burning Knuckle can be performed with fireball motion to make it stronger, Crack Shoot works as the first back special in Smash with quarter circle back motion, Power Dunk down special performed with Shoryuken motion giving it extra power, and Rising Tackle up special which actually has a down up charge which gives him invincibility.

Rising Tackle is the first charge move in the Smash series and can be used after other specials for better recovery options similarly to Bayonetta.

Triple Geyser is Terry's Final Smash which will follow up with a Power Dunk and of course finish things off with Buster Wolf.

When the burning boy reaches over 100 percent damage or under 30 percent health in Stamina mode gives him super specials like Power Geyser and Buster Wolf with brand new inputs.

King of Fighters Stadium is the new SNK stage with walled off edges that bounce back until it breaks for a instant KO, so it'll be interesting to see what the competitive community thinks about that change.

There are 20 different SNK guest characters that can appear on the KoF stage including Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi, Tung Fu Rue, Billy Kane, Geese Howard, Rock Howard, Kim Kaphwan, Ryuku Yamazaki, Blue Mary, Athena Asamiya, Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, Goro Daimon, Chang Koehan, Choi Bounge, Ralf Jones, Clark Still, Ryo Sakazaki, King and Yuri Sakazaki. Mai is apparently too sexy for Smash, however.

Mr. Bogard also comes with the most music tracks for a DLC character ever reaching almost 50 in total.

While most of his moves are pulled right out of Fatal Fury or King of Fighters titles, Terry's up air is actually wholly original to smash giving him a new somersault kick to deal with opponents above him.

Dodge attacks are now also in Smash Bros. considering the new addition can spot dodge and immediately counter to reward really good reads.
