Sindel, Terry, Broly, and more; here's the major DLC fighting game content we expect to see in November

Most importantly, Blitztank

Just about every modern fighting game under the sun is producing additional DLC content to keep fans on their toes these days, and it seems November is shaping up to be jam-packed with new releases across a number of different titles.

If you play Mortal Kombat 11, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Dragon Ball FighterZ, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, Samurai Shodown, or Street Fighter 5, the developers for your title of choice are making sure you'll have something fresh to do once you've finished Thanksgiving dinner.

We figured we'd consolidate all the announcements for the coming content here into one place so you can get a refresher and prep your schedules accordingly.

Sindel - Mortal Kombat 11

Release date: November 26

Sindel is the fourth of six characters slated for Mortal Kombat 11's Kombat Pack. The queen of Edenia was officially revealed back with Shang Tsung's character trailer and was given a November 26 release date when the Kombat Pack trailer dropped.

NetherRealm Studios has been making each of their Kombat Pack kombatants available a week early to those who have purchased the Kombat Pack in full, but it seems the release dates listed for each character are actually early access dates. This means that Sindel will hit early access on November 26 and be available to all come December 3.

You can purchase the Kombat Pack in its entirety for $39.99 or get each fighter individually for $5.99 apiece.

Version 2.0 - BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle

Release date: November 21

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will never be the same come November 21 as a major overhaul, including new mechanics and nine new characters, is just over two weeks away.

We first learned about this update back at EVO in early August and have been slowly but surely getting more and more details since then. You can view a recap of the new mechanics and characters here.

The nine incoming fighters include Yumi, Akatsuki, Neo Politan, Blitztank, Celica A Mercury, Elizabeth, Tohru Adachi, Hilda, and Susanoo. The new mechanics include Cross Raids, Extra Assault, Delay Entry, and Rampage Time.

The BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Special Edition expansion will cost $24.99. The Version 2.0 update will be free and allow players to fight each other online whether or not they've purchased the new characters. This gallery shows off some the new mechanics as well as the fully loaded character select:

Terry Bogard - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Release date: Unconfirmed, but as early as November 6

The fourth DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate brings SNK into the brawl as Fatal Fury's Terry Bogard prepares to join the battle.

While we don't yet have an official release date for Terry, we found out just yesterday that Masahiro Sakurai will be showcasing the character on November 6 at 5 a.m. PT. With some of the recent Smash DLC, showcased characters have been made available immediately after being presented.

Players who have Smash Bros. Ultimate's Fighter Pass ($24.99) will be able to download Terry as soon as he's available. Those who want to nab Smash DLC one newcomer at a time will need to pay $5.99 for each individual.

MajinTenshinhan offers a beautiful breakdown of how he thinks Terry will play in Ultimate, and you can view that breakdown by clicking here.

DBS Broly - Dragon Ball FighterZ

Release date: Unconfirmed

While Arc System Works hasn't given us an official release date for their next character, the Dragon Ball Super version of Broly, they did show us the usual scans of the Legendary Super Saiyan back in mid October.

Along with these first images came the promise of his release in "near days," prompting many to suspect we'd get him sometime in October. Seeing as Broly has yet to make it to DBFZ, we're betting that he'll more than likely drop before the end of this month.

When he does make it to the game you'll be able to pick Broly up for $4.99 USD or as part of the season pass for $24.99 along with the previously released SSB Gogeta, Janemba, Kid Goku from Dragon Ball GT, Videl and Jiren.

Kazama Kazuki - Samurai Shodown

Release date: Likely November 19 or November 26

SNK keeps the hits coming with a somewhat rapid release schedule for Samurai Shodown. Just one week after the release of Basara the Executioner in mid-October, we received word that Kazama Kazuki was prepping for his entrance.

While we haven't gotten a date, we do know that SNK is releasing one character each month and that Kazuki is slated for November. He will have a playable sneak peek at Japan's Dazai Kamisu Festival on November 16, so we're not expecting him any time before then.

Samsho characters have traditionally dropped on Tuesday, and so that's why the two Tuesdays after the 16 (November 19 and 26) have become our best guesses for Kazuki's release. You can nab the Season Pass for $19.99 or individual characters for $5.99 each.

Something - Street Fighter 5

Reveal date: November 17

After our last big Street Fighter 5 release at EVO 2019, Yoshinori Ono made sure to not leave the community in the dark with regards to the next big reveal.

At that time he told us that we'd be getting future major announcements in both November and December, and later revealed that these would specifically be at the North American Regional Finals and Capcom Cup.

The NA Regional Finals run from November 16-17, and we suspect to see the reveal near the end of the second day. Best guesses imagine this to be a new DLC character, but hopes for a new major update have been floating about.

Capcom has been releasing new characters shortly after showcasing them, and so this content could be coming as early as late on the 17 or perhaps on the 18.
