Batman as Ryu, Joker as Blanka, Penguin as E. Honda, and Bane as Zangief; Ivan Reber's 'Streets of Gotham' art is intriguing

We're really hoping for a Ra's al Ghul Zeku

We've never really entertained the idea of an Injustice/Street Fighter crossover, but thanks to imaginitive art of Ivan Reber, we are now.

This Swiss artist has combined two highly recognizable intellectual properties, Street Fighter and Batman, into an art series that we just had to share here on Eventhubs.

Not only do we get these wonderful images, but Reber also includes a bit of text shining some light on his creative process and motivations.

"This is from my personal mashup project series: Streets of Gotham - where I combine a character from the Street Fighter game with one from the Batman universe (Ryu/Batman). I started this series when I found myself in a creative hole," he says.

"I thought about my childhood when I never experienced creative lows and didn’t care what I am going to create or how good it will be. With this spirit in mind, I wanted to create a mashup project with the pop culture of my youth. Hope you guys like it?"

We're hoping to see Cammy Catwoman, Harley Quinn R. Mika, Ra's al Ghul Zeku, and whatever other creative imaginings Reber might come up with in the near future. You can view the four awesome mashup images as well as the initial concept art for each in the gallery below.
