Full Shang Tsung reveal for Mortal Kombat 11 likely coming tomorrow; new image of the character with a younger look partially shown

NetherRealm studios has revealed a new image of Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat 11 with the caption "Tomorrow," on Twitter.

Said image depicts just half of the antagonistic sorcerer's face, but already gives us a few important new bits of information as to how he'll appear in his fighting form in MK11.

We already knew that Shang would be the first of six additional DLC characters planned for the game, and have already seen him as the Krypt caretaker. We also know that Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (the actor who played Shang in the 1995 film) lent his face to the design of this current iteration.

The Shang we've seen thus far is fairly old and gray, but today's post shows a much younger form sporting black hair and lacking a beard. Considering MK11's time travel-filled story and the fact that Shang Tsung maintains youth by stealing souls, this look makes total canonical sense.

This comes in short following of Ed Boon's recent post stating, "Fingers Krossed.... if all goes well, next week we will be announcing the fighters that will be joining Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat 11’s DLC !!"

You can view the partial image of younger Shang by clicking the thumbnail here. Be sure to chime in with your thoughts and reactions in the comments, and let us know who you think will be joining the original MK final boss as well.
