Examu officially announces Arcana Heart 3: Love Max Six Stars Xtend!!!!!
The name keeps getting longer
Arcana Heart 3 has had a pretty long life in the fighting game community considering it first hit arcades in 2011 and consoles in 2013 with its update trajectory carrying it all the way to 2019 for an all-new updated version of the title.
The developers over at Examu and Team Arcana have revealed that Arcana Heart 3: Love Max Six Stars Xtend!!!!! is currently in the works to bring a new character and Arcana to the fighter though other details are scarce other than its likely coming at some point this year.
Pistrix is the official name of the "shark girl" fighter, who was reached as a stretch goal for the developers back in 2017 with the Kickstarter to bring Love Max Six Stars!!!!! to the PC. Her character introduction from the campaign says that she is able to transform her body at will showing Pistrix transforming her arms into the head of a shark to assumedly bite the opponent.
The Arcana of Life, Paracelsia, is tied to Pistrix and was another stretch goal reached during their initial campaign.
Examu stated in November of 2018 that Pistrix was scheduled to be released sometime that fall, but the team has apparently fell upon some development issues that have persisted up to their prior update in March of this year.
We have been under continued troubles here on the development front, and are currently expecting a long delay for the release of the updated game. It is difficult for us to say when exactly the release date will be at this point, however, we are planning to make the release within this year.
We are very sorry development is taking this long and deeply apologize. Everyone is working their hardest so you will be able to enjoy the game as soon as possible. From all of us here, we please ask for your continued support. Thank you very much - Examu
No official release information has been revealed by the developers though it'll likely be coming to arcades and PC in the near-ish future with the new content and character / game re-balancing. You can find the older Kickstarter video for the new characters below — including ones that didn't quite make their stretch goal.
