Pikachu gently taps Ice Climbers' Nana and sends her to a devastating death in this odd Super Smash Bros. Ultimate clip

A glitch? Or is Pikachu just THAT powerful?

Oh, fighting game oddities are the best thing ever, aren't they? Whether it be odd hitbox/hurtbox interactions or full-blown glitches that send characters ascending to the heavens (I'm looking at you, Chun-Li), the strange instances that can and do occur in our favorite fighters are always entertaining.

Despite the incredible level of polish and content put into it, Nintendo's massively successful brawler Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is not immune to strange happenings. This clip featuring Pikachu and the Ice Climbers is very indicative of that.

Twitter user Guunnz_ recently shared a bit of Smash Ultimate footage showing the popular Pokemon taking on the icy duo. As the battle rages on, the Pikachu player heads to the left platform on Smashville while the Ice Climbers fight from below.

After chucking a little bit of electricity at the opponent, the Pikachu player manages to make contact with the CPU controlled 2nd player of the Ice Climbers, Nana, when the two attempted an approach in the air.

All Pikachu does is hit a single jab, and for some reason Nana is sent soaring across the screen. In the blink of an eye, the pink Ice Climber is KO-ed.

Obviously, this is not intentional behavior for this interaction, as a jab should do minimal damage and definitely not send the opponent flying like it were a powerful Smash attack.

While Pikachu is considered strong in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the electric mouse Pokemon certainly isn't THAT powerful. Chances are this is a strange glitch that should probably be patched out, especially if the conditions can be recreated with other characters.
