Which characters can destroy King K. Rool's belly super armor in one hit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?

King K. Rool's super armor mechanic is a real double-edged sword. On one hand, it can plow through and beat most other attacks in the game. The downside is that if King K. Rool absorbs 28.02% damage like this, he'll suffer a status effect that is not unlike being shield broken.

Against most attacks, it will take several hits in order to achieve this state of King K. Rool. However, there are a number of characters that have access to attacks that can destroy King K. Rool's armor is just one hit.

Interestingly enough, King K. Rool is the only character in the game that has an armored taunt. Nintendo Unity uses this taunt against the entire cast's best attacks to see who is able to shatter the plating on King K. Rool's belly.

This also gives an idea on how close some fighters were able to get by looking at King K. Rool's damage percentage. Since King K. Rool's armor reduces damage by half, any attack that is shown to deal over 14.0% damage (technically 14.01%) will successfully stun the Kremling king.

Some of the results might be somewhat surprising. For example, Marth's Neutral Special — best known as the "shield breaker" — will not be able to shatter his defenses. Even when spaced perfectly at the tip of the blade.

Ridley's Down Special — the Skewer — will however be strong enough if spaced correctly despite the crumple effect not working against armored attacks. The attack still ultimately deals 40% damage (48% in 1v1).
