You've probably heard by now that we're hiring a new staff member, if not because you saw the post then because you saw the social media backlash about the fact that one stage in the application process requires potential new hires to play us in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. We have a few words of response on that front.

We also got a rare sighting of Mike Ross during Tuesday night's episode of Cross Counter's The Untitled Esports Show. Catalyst and I speak to the way the community seems to be reacting.

I also share some of my adventures with especially hype and especially inebriated, non-FGC friends at Northwest Majors, which turned out to be a very enjoyable event.

Mortal Kombat 11 has had some time to settle in, and so an assessment of how the community appears to be reacting to/liking it feels apt. Speaking of community reactions, the fake E. Honda in Street Fighter 5 trailer that came out last week got a very strong response.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate smashes the record for best-selling fighting game of all time, but one character in particular seems to be slowing down the action (and it's not Jigglypuff).
