The Battle of the Beast results
Update: This story has been updated with final results.
This weekend, there's an online invitational behind held in the European region, but it's probably not for the game you expect.
Indeed, it's an invitational for Ultra Street Fighter 4, which still has an active playerbase filled with some of the beasts we used to see place highly while it was Capcom's main game as well. Continue below for more details on players and the streams available.
A few of the names people who have been around since the Street Fighter 4 days should recognize include Gagapa, Pro Fluke, Jehosan, Easyman and GillStoleMyRide, though there are 16 players total participating in the event.
They've all been divided up into four-man groups which will play out in a round robin format, so there's going to be a lot of matches ran. There's also been some cash to the tune of $100 thrown in to sweeten the deal from The Beast.
This is a one-day thing, so if you've got a craving for some proper high-level Ultra Street Fighter 4, this is the day for you, and you can follow along with the brackets here.
Streaming will be done across several different channels, which are GillStoleMyRide, Enfant Perdu Easyman, Sbastizh and Pro Fluke, though for the sake of simplicity (and users with low RAM) we'll only embed one stream in the story.
