Capcom UK community manager: I can't wait till you see what we have in store for Street Fighter 5

Many of us were hopeful about big announcements for Street Fighter 5 from Capcom at the conclusion of Final Round 2019 — the first tournament of the 2019 Capcom Pro Tour. Needless to say, the lack of a character reveal following this event left a damper on the mood for many.

At this very moment, Capcom's statement about "doing things differently" this year has mostly been viewed as a negative thing since there's been no communication as to what this might mean. However, recent statements from a Capcom community manager have been very interesting.

"I'm sure that when the time comes, we will be excited to get what we get," said Logan Sama to Capcom community manager, Matt Edwards.

Edwards' response was certainly eye opening. "You definitely will. I can't wait till you see what we have in store," said the community manager.

"It won't just be nothing, nothing, nothing, boom," continued Edwards. "I suspect there will at least be some breadcrumbs."

This isn't the first time that Matt Edwards hinted at something seemingly big for Street Fighter 5 this year. At a previous Winner Stays On weekly stream, Edwards also boldly declared that "the story of Street Fighter 5 is not finished."

It does sound like Matt Edwards is in the know of something big as far as Street Fighter 5 is concerned. We currently have no idea what we're in store for.

Regardless, it was clear that Edwards was choosing his words very carefully and only gave spectators enough to speculate on. Whatever it may be, it seemed like it was causing the UK community manager some excitement.

"I know how it all stacks up for this year, and I wish I could tell you, but I can't," said Edwards. It was recommended by Edwards that we pay attention to Ono and the Street Fighter Twitter / Facebook pages for future details.

Although the Field of Fate stage was revealed during the Final Round 2019 weekend, many were still disappointed at the lack of a new character. As a result, it's recommended that you hype responsibly.
