Capcom is running their Street Fighter League in North America this year. Six teams consisting of three players each will slug it out starting next month, with two seasons of action slated for this year and running their course over the next several months.

Of the 18 players competing, six of them were set to be added to the tournament by way of fan voting. The process closed over the weekend, and we now have the six competitors voted into the Street Fighter League.

Brian F, END|Shine, AG|BrolyLegs, Clasico, ElChakotay, and NB|Dual Kevin have all made the cut via votes. Capcom Fighters sent out a congratulatory message to the winners over on Twitter this morning.

The next step for the Street Fighter League will be the draft. Team captains will be given the opportunity to select their teammates, adding some strategy and careful consideration to the 3v3 format.

"We thought adding team play to a Street Fighter 5 tournament series would bring a compelling layer of strategy and drama to the format," Producer Yoshinori Ono said about the Street Fighter League. "We are exploring this new format within a new tournament series, in addition to our ongoing support of the existing popular Capcom Pro Tour. We hope our fans will enjoy this fresh perspective on Street Fighter eSports, and we’ll be analyzing their feedback to incorporate into future seasons of the League."
