Final Round 2019 has wrapped up now. Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition was the game that attracted the highest number of entrants with 300 in the competition.

This was the first Capcom Pro Tour event of 2019. We've got numerous highlights to review.

First off, let's talk about the Victrix|Momochi vs. UYU|OilKing match up. Momochi was using Zeku while Momochi stuck with his Rashid.

This ended up being a close set. The score was 2-2 and both players had a round over the other.

Momochi was able to mount enough pressure on OilKing and bait out his EX reversal. From here, he was able to secure the stun.

He kept the combo going long enough so he could obtain the meter necessary to end things with a Critical Art.

It looked as though Brian_F as Balrog was going to be able to neutral jump over FD|Johnny's raw Critical Art as Karin. Surprisingly, he stayed on the same side and ate most of the damage.

Karin's standing heavy punch is a good button. Don't believe me? See the below clip...

REC|Punk came super close to being eliminated by OilKing. You can really tell how much pressure he was under after surviving OilKing's last ditch effort to take the round.

Momochi's confirms were on point at this event. He was converting a simple crouching light punch, light kick string into Critical Arts.

Although Momochi has acted as a "teacher" of sorts to Johnny, this was still an edge of your seat type of match up. Momochi was only barely able to send his student to the losers bracket.

Punk and Johnny met one another in the losers bracket. This resulted in an explosive Karin mirror match.

In the end, it was Punk who advanced to take on Momochi in the grand finals.

Momochi just wasn't able to stop Punk's offense. Does this mark the long awaited return of "The Alpha"?
