Free to play 'Core Fighters' edition of Dead or Alive 6 now available, includes four characters and five game modes

It's been two weeks since Dead or Alive 6 officially hit shelves, and if you haven't already purchased the game you can now try it out for free via today's "Core Fighters" version, which was released earlier today.

Players that are on the fence and want to test the waters will be able to use four of DOA6's characters in five of the game's modes. Continue on for more details as well as a trailer from Koei Tecmo America.

This free to play model was used used Dead or Alive 5 and saw over 12 million downloads. Players will be able to control Hitomi, Kasumi, Bass, or Diego as they play online, in DOA Central, Versus, Training, or DOA Quest.

The rest of the cast as well as other modes will not be available to those playing the Core Fighters version, though the game's story can be purchased for $19.99 and additional character Nyotengu can be purchased for $3.99.

Those who purchase the game before March 30th will get a special bonus in the form of both Nyotengu as well as an alternate costume for Kasumi. A standard copy will run for $59.99 while the Digital Deluxe edition costs $79.99.

You can download Core Fighters or purchase the full version in the Steam Store, the PlayStation Store, or the Microsoft store.. Furthermore you can now take a survey to let the dev team know the particulars of your experience, and help them tidy up any potential issues you encounter with Dead or Alive 6.
