We had some expectations for the EVO lineup this year, but when Mr. Wizard and MarkMan unveiled the nine titles that will be at the big dance in 2019, we're confident in saying that no one's prediction docket was 100% accurate.

With as many fighting games as are floating around these days, it's innately difficult to try to whittle down the "most deserving" ones to be featured at EVO. There are simply too many factors and potential angles from which to look at things to hammer down a concrete list for such purposes.

In a recent video, content creator Maximilian recaps the titles we're getting in Las Vegas this August, and offers a bit of general reaction and speculation for each.

Some of the more obvious picks like Street Fighter 5 and Tekken 7 have been at EVO for a while now, and so Max looks more at these with questions of what to expect in the way of content reveals as opposed to considering whether or not the general population will be content with their inclusions.

It's when we get to games like Under Night In-Birth or the currently unreleased Samurai Spirits that we start to delve into more exciting and less predictable territory.

How will such titles fare in the way of entrance and viewership numbers? Was it the right call to bump a game like Super Smash Bros. Melee in order to give others a chance? Does Dead or Alive 6 stand a chance at ever making the lineup after the whole core values incident at EVO Japan? Hear Max's reactions and thoughts in the full video below.
