If you somehow didn't know, Click Burgundy's fighting game artwork is the toppest of tiers
That Kazumi though
Click Burgundy is a Japanese artist we've featured a number of times on EventHubs already because of their godlike fighting game art, and their work continues to be amazing.
We've collected a dozen more pieces from Click Burgundy's recent collections where they seem to have been pretty excited about the EVO and EVO Japan line ups plus some other recent fighting game announcements like Videl in Dragon Ball FighterZ — and I guess we know which side of the pigtails vs. short hair debate they fall on.
Technically six of the nine mainstage EVO games Burgundy has posted new work for recently with Street Fighter 5, Tekken 7, Super Smash Bros, Samurai Shodown, Dragon Ball FighterZ and BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle if we want to count Arcana Heart 3's Heart Aino as a Cross Tag character now — sorry Soul Calibur, Mortal Kombat and Under Night In-Birth.
Personally, my favorite piece of artwork from this new set is Tekken 7's Kazumi posing with her tiger companion which I think is beautiful enough to be framed and hung in a gallery... or my office.
The artists' favorite Guilty Gear and King of Fighters also make an appearance here with an absolutely badass take on Iori Yagami along with a moody I-No while Faust represents EVO Japan.
It'd also be wrong not to shout out the lovely Filia from Skullgirls looking like she was pulled straight out of her base game. You can take a look at the full gallery of fighting game art work below, and let us know which are your favorites in the comments.
