CEO 2019 is currently going down in Florida, and it's proving once again to be one of the biggest and most dedicated fighting game events in the world by the sheer number of players, spectators, cosplayers and fighting game fans of all ages in attendance.

We now have access to the final entrant numbers with last second / emergency registration closed of course, and almost a dozen different games have over 100 players signed up to compete this weekend though only one crossed the 1,000 mark.

Like EVO's current leaderboard, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is by far the leader as far as entrants go for the Daytona Beach major this year with 1,164 players from every corner of the globe including top talent from traditionally other games like EG|NyChrisG, Liquid|Hungrybox and many many more. With 3,468 attendees listed in total that means that one third of all players signed up to try their hand at Smash Ultimate.

Considering it just came a few months ago, that new game smell has led to Mortal Kombat 11 taking the second overall spot with 531 combatants set to fight it out including pretty much every well known name from the NetherRealm side of the FGC in attendance.

Street Fighter 5 takes the bronze medal this weekend though Tekken 7, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Smash Melee, Brawlhalla, Under Night In-Birth, Soul Calibur 6, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle and Guilty Gear Xrd REV2 all have over 100 fighters ready to throw hands — hell even Dance Dance Revolution Extreme Pro has triple digits.

This is certain to be another exciting weekend of action for the fighting game community, and it's great to see a large amount of support for titles across the board for pretty much everything featured.
