Daigo: The biggest advantage for Hitbox Guile isn't quick dashes or Sonic Booms...

The Beast shares what he thinks is Guile's strongest buff when played on a Hitbox

Hitbox controllers have been a somewhat gray and sore spot for the fighting game community for a few years now, and there was a bit of controversy over CYG|Daigo's potential use of the Gafrobox controller at Combo Breaker earlier this year. The stickless controllers allow players to be even more precise with their inputs, and this goes even further when said players are using charge characters like Guile.

The powers that be ultimately ruled against Daigo being able to use his stick in tournament after many community members brought up the fact that it helps so much with a charge character's movement and ability to throw projectiles. Thanks to FGC Translated, we've got a few minute snippet from one of The Beast's recent streams wherein he speaks a bit about what he believes is actually the biggest Hitbox buff Guile gets.

"I finally realized the true strength of Hitbox," said Daigo. "It was neither forward dash nor fast-charging Booms. After all, it was the fact that I can Flash Kick immediately while crouching."

Getting more precision as far as the timing of the Flash Kick can actually lead to Guile's getting okizeme pressure (something he is not normally afforded) after a successful, last-second anti-air.

Daigo went on to speak more about post Flash Kick wake up pressure, and FGC Translated turned that tutorial into a video as well.

You can view both videos below, and the clip right here cuts right to the portion where Daigo speaks and shows how Guile can gain extra advantage using this specific tech:
