Here's a better look at Banjo-Kazooie in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate thanks to some official screenshots plus official render and an alternate color

We got a pink bear on the loose

It had been a long time coming, but Banjo-Kazooie finally made the jump into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate via DLC though we'll need to wait until this fall to play as them on a Nintendo console for the first time in almost two decades.

We already received a reveal trailer at E3 2019 that showed off a bit of the duo in action, but now we can take a better look at how they'll appear in the game via some new screenshots including Banjo and Kazooie's character renders plus a pink alternate color scheme.

Banjo's appearance in Smash marks the first time that these Rare characters appear on a Nintendo platform in HD format, and the first showcase in a new title since Nuts and Bolts in 2008 — though they obviously look much closer to their Nintendo 64 counterparts.

The new screenshots mostly give us a better look at some of the stuff shown off in the trailer like Banjo's Smash attack, their stage and Kazooie running with the bear on her back.

While we currently know what all of the alternate costumes will look like for Dragon Quest's Hero in Smash Ultimate, Nintendo has yet to officially post the same for Banjo, so this image of the pink bear marks the first different look that we've seen.

Smash's first Dragon Quest representative will be hitting the game likely sometime within the next month or two, but it appears as though we'll be waiting until at least September to play as Banjo. You can check out the new set of screens of the characters below — we also have a snazzy trailer move list breakdown worth looking at too.
