Tuesday's E3 Nintendo Direct gave us the biggest fighting game-related reveals of the entire week with the announcements that Dragon Quest's Hero characters and Banjo-Kazooie would be making their way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's DLC roster.

The Hero fighters are set to come at some point this Summer, and Nintendo has now updated their Smash Bros. website to include the upcoming character, his trailer and some official screenshots — Banjo's spot is visible, but isn't accessible yet.

We had long been rumored to be receiving Erdrick from Dragon Quest 3 as a DLC fighter, but players can also choose between other incarnations of the Hero from DQ 4, 8 and 11 with the latest protagonist taking center stage in the trailer.

These new batch of screenshots give us our first high resolution look at the upcoming character outside of the trailer and show off each variations different aesthetic designs that are quite neat to see next to each other.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's massive roster banner was also updated after the event to add in both of the new third party characters where the Dragon Quest Hero is also joined by the iconic Slime monster from the series.
