Nintendo fans were in for quite a treat earlier today. Two newcomers were announced for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Fighter Pass.

Before the year is over, we'll be able to play as the Dragon Quest Hero (with skins from Dragon Quest 3, 6, 8, and 11) and Banjo-Kazooie. As you can imagine, the internet had quite the reaction to this news.

When the jiggy piece was bouncing in the Banjo-Kazooie trailer, Tempo|ZeRo, Keef, and RCS|Fatality were either looking away or didn't recognize the reference. What came next was a particularly big surprise for them.

As for PG|Alpharad, PG|ESAM, and Maximilian Dood, they were immediately able to figure out what was going on when that bouncing object made its way across the screen. It was the announcement for Banjo-Kazooie, of course.

Since Dragon Quest tends to be more popular outside of the western hemisphere of the world, the Hero was met with some excitement, but not nearly to the degree of Banjo-Kazooie's appearance. Still, the contents of his moveset did invoke some curiosity.

Take a look at their reactions for some good laughs. Remember that the Dragon Quest Hero will be released sometime in Summer 2019 while Banjo-Kazooie will be made available in the Fall.
