Suzaku Castle at Night stage coming to Street Fighter 5

While Capcom's fighting game division had no major announcements to make at E3 2019 going on now, they are apparently adding something new to the game in the near future for Street Fighter 5.

The company announced today that Ryu's Street Fighter 2 stage Suzaku Castle is getting a new variant in SF5 to be played at night, and it's releasing on June 25.

Since this is a variant form of the already existing Suzaku Castle, it will only cost $1.99 or 40,000 Fight Money instead of the standard full price of $3.99 / 70,000 FM. It has not been confirmed if this will be the same case with Suzaku Castle, but players did not need to purchase the Temple of Ascension stage in order to access the fan favorite Field of Fate which was also a variant.

While its release date is still two weeks away, players can try it out at E3 this week and see it in the Street Fighter League exhibition matches beginning later today at 1:30 p.m. PDT.

Suzaku Castle joins Shadaloo Base, Forgotten Waterfall, and Kanzuki Estate as stages that each have day and night versions, and this will bring the total amount of arenas up to 36 in total including variations.

While we will likely need to wait until EVO 2019 to see what the big plans are for Street Fighter going forward, you can check out a trailer for the new stage below to try and hold yourself over until then.
