Nightwolf trailer planning to drop for Mortal Kombat 11 on August 1 says Ed Boon showing some more new footage noting 'this timing isn't ideal'

Ed Boon and the Mortal Kombat team have been teasing Nightwolf's full reveal in MK11 for quite some time now though it appears as though our wait is all but over at this point if everything goes according to plan.

The series co-creator took to Twitter once again to update fans that NetherRealm Studios is still hoping to release Nightwolf's gameplay trailer tomorrow, August 1, alongside some brief new footage though things might not be going as smoothly as the developers had hoped.

"MK11 players waiting to hear news about DLC characters," said Boon on Twitter. "We know this timing isn't ideal and FWIW this isn't our choice. But thanks for hanging in there with us. Things are still looking good for the Nightwolf game-play trailer tomorrow. Stay tuned..."

Boon does not specify what he means exactly by the phrasing of "this isn't our choice" leading to the possibility that there's been some technical hiccups getting the trailer in order to show the public in time or potential snags with the higher ups at Warner Bros. though there's no real way for us to know for sure.

The new footage shows what looks to be another character win pose for Nightwolf imbuing his tomahawk with lightning before throwing it to the ground to surround himself in blue flames in a pretty menacing manner.

Nintendo appears have leaked Nightwolf's early access release for Kombat Pack owners, so we'll need to wait and see what NetherRealm announces this week for Nightwolf's full release and hopefully more at EVO 2019.
