Smash Factor 8 hosted a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate event that concluded over the weekend. There were over 500 entrants competing which included big names like FOX|MkLeo, Solary|Glutonny, SNB|Abadango, Regi Shikimi, BC|Mr. R, KJS|Maister, PG|Marss, and many more.

Eventually, the viewers had the opportunity to watch a match up unfold between Maister and MkLeo. Maister is often seen as being the best Mr. Game & Watch user in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and has been adamant that the character belongs in high tier. Meanwhile, his opponent, MkLeo, is widely accepted to be the most successful competitor in the game right now.

The particular match up was in the losers finals. Previously, Maister was sent to the losers bracket by MkLeo while MkLeo himself was sent there thanks to Marss' impressive plays in the winners finals. In other words, this was a rematch between the two Mexican competitors.

Unsurprisingly, Maister stuck to using Mr. Game & Watch while MkLeo took him on with his tried-and-true Joker. Once again, it looked as though MkLeo had the upperhand during the first game of the set.

Although both players were on their last stock, Maister's Mr. Game & Watch was at 68.8%. Meanwhile, MkLeo's Joker was only at 11.3% damage. Remember that Mr. Game & Watch is the third lightest character, so this percentage was more disadvantageous for the 2D fighter than most others.

While attempting to land by using Joker's Gun special, Maister managed to catch MkLeo with Mr. Game & Watch's neutral aerial. Comboing into an up aerial proved to be an easy followup.

Since this occurred near a platform, Maister was able to land early and land yet another hit. He opted to go for Mr. Game & Watch's side special, the Judge.

This hammer special tends to have randomized effects upon hitting opponents. The greater the number that appears above Mr. Game & Watch's head, the greater the reward.

If you happen to land a "9" hammer, it's essentially a one hit kill. Can you guess which number was rolled?

When it happened, even Maister himself was astonished at the outcome.

Inevitably, MkLeo ended up taking the set against Maister with a 3-1 victory. Following this, Marss would prevail against him to win the tournament.
