An update on the Tekken 7 sales front has come to us today courtesy of the Bandai Namco panel at San Diego Comic-Con taking place right now (at the time this was written).

It looks like the game continues to do well with consumers, as Tekken 7 has now hit the milestone of over 4 million copies sold worldwide.

The information comes to us courtesy of Tekken's Brand and Community Advisor, Mark "MarkMan" Julio, who shared a photo before the panel began of a special pin attendees will receive.

"Make sure you stop by our panel at @Comic_Con #SDCC at 10AM PDT! Room 25ABC! We’re talking about @TEKKEN & more fighting game stuff! Everyone here gets one of these cool Mishima Zaibatsu pins!" MarkMan wrote.

The bit of cardboard that houses the pin features Tekken 7 artwork and a message at the top that reads, "over 4 million copies sold worldwide!"

Tekken 7 initially launched in March of 2015 as an arcade-only release in Japan. It did not make its way overseas and onto consoles until June 2, 2017, where it became available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Back in October of last year, we learned that Tekken 7 had hit over 3 million copies sold, with the entire series having accumulated 47 million units sold overall.

The game continues to perform well, it seems, and with recent DLC additions to the game — such as its Season 2 batch of characters that features The Walking Dead's Negan — and a spot in the main EVO 2019 line up with 1,885 entrants in the tournament, the future still looks bright for Bandai Namco's 3D fighting title.
