New information on Dragon Quest's Hero in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate possibly coming this week judging by Nintendo France's recent tease

Will we get another surprise release?

It's been almost exactly a month since Nintendo revealed that Dragon Quest's Hero and Banjo-Kazooie would be making their way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as DLC, but we might finally have our first clue as to when some new information will be dropped for the next fighter.

The Hero had been given a general Summer 2019 release window at the event though Nintendo France appears to be teasing that new footage and possibly a release date could very well be coming later this week.

Nintendo France generally releases a new 'Let's Smash' video guide around once a week teaching players about techniques and approaches to the game though the most recent episode perhaps gave us our biggest clue as to when to expect DLC news.

In the Let's Smash episode 25 Twitter post, Nintendo France states that they will "see you soon for a special Let's Smash (Someone said something about Heroes?)" in a translation from Dualshockers.

Given that the last two episodes have launched on July 6 and June 29, episode 26 will likely release on Saturday, July 13, meaning that we'd likely see some more info before that time if it is indeed coming.

While we had a decent idea of when Piranha Plant was coming to the game, Persona 5's Joker was essentially stealth released in the middle of the week back at the end of April with his gameplay and release date being shown off just one day before he officially launched.

We obviously do not know whether or not Nintendo plans on releasing characters so soon to their full introductions, but we should all be keeping an eye on SSBU Bot for Smash Ultimate's next update notification.

Both previous characters advanced Ultimate's version number one full increment, 2.0.0 for Piranha Plant and 3.0.0 for Joker, so if we see that Version 4.0.0 is incoming, then we'll know that the Hero troop is likely coming very soon.

Our previous estimate had the first Dragon Quest representative releasing just after EVO 2019 next month, but if we're lucky, we may be playing with a new character before the end of the week.
