Many players, sponsors, and teams are looking forward to the rankings

After a season full of patches, and somewhat sporadic results, the first season of PGR events has ended for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. There were PGR level events all over the world.

Many players seeking to get picked up are eagerly awaiting the results. There are rumblings that several teams are also ready for the rankings so they may pick up a player or two.

Despite the amount of parity we have witnessed this year, there seems to be a clear consensus of who the top three to five players are.

FOX|Mkleo, TSM|Tweek, and PG|Marss are the clear top three players heading into the rankings.

After the top three it gets murky at best. You have to wonder how some of the overseas players will be ranked if they didn’t attend many (if at all) tournaments that were stateside.

We could very well see a large amount of Japanese included with many like R2G|Kameme, Tsu, Raito, SSN|Shuton, and GW|Zackray, Solary|Gluttony amongst others having excellent results all season, both at home and abroad.

I’m very interested to see how the top 10 goes. There’s so many options and people deserving, it could come down to who attended more and placed better.

Newcomers that could very well make the first set of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate PGR are Puppeh, TSM|Leffen, Demise| ZD, Wishes, amongst others.

We could also see some well-established players from the past who miss the first set of rankings.

Who do you think will make the top 10? Who are newcomers you believe will make the PGR when it releases? Who will surprise us most with their placement or lack thereof?
